Job Title: English and Maths SEN Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Basildon Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £25 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting (learners homes or local libraries) Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students' academic progress Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students' educational goals are met Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: At least 3 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN Proven track record of improving student outcomes Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of SEN principles and best practises in education Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Working Conditions: Part-time hours, flexible schedule Work primarily in an outreach setting, travelling to students' homes or community centres Collaborative work with teachers, parents, and support staff All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
