An opportunity to make a difference in Fylde
Fylde Council is seeking to appoint a Community Resilience and HAF Coordinator to support the delivery of key programmes aimed at assisting residents experiencing financial hardship.
This role sits within the Community Wellbeing Team and will contribute to the effective delivery of the Crisis Resilience Funding (CRF) programme and the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.
You will work directly with families, partners and community organisations to ensure that support is accessible, responsive and delivered in line with local priorities and national guidance.
The Role
The postholder will adopt a holistic, family‑centred approach, assessing need and supporting residents to access appropriate services including holiday provision, food support and financial assistance.
Key responsibilities
* Supporting the administration and delivery of Crisis Resilience Funding and associated hardship schemes
* Assessing eligibility and making decisions within programme guidelines
* Undertaking targeted outreach, including community‑based work and home visits
* Supporting the planning and delivery of the HAF programme during school holiday periods
* Working with schools, partners and community providers to increase engagement and participation
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting monitoring, reporting and audit requirements
* Contributing to partnership working across council services and external organisations
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, data protection and funding requirements
The Person
We are looking for an individual who is organised, approachable and committed to delivering high‑quality services to residents.
Essential requirements
* Experience in an administrative or support role
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work sensitively with families and vulnerable residents
* Experience of working collaboratively with partners
* Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
* Experience working with children, families or community service
* Awareness of financial hardship, food insecurity or support programmes
* Experience supporting funded programmes or initiatives
* Knowledge of HAF or similar programmes
Additional Information
* Occasional evening and weekend working may be required
* The role involves travel across the borough
