We are looking to recruit a new shop manager for our shop in Erith, Bexley, Greater London. This is a permanent full‑time position working 45 hours per week across five days. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
Base pay range
* Hours: 45 hours across 5 days per week.
* Pay: £32,944 – £46,483 per annum.

Responsibilities
* Lead by example and get involved in day‑to‑day shop operations.
* Motivate and inspire the team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
* Recruit, induct and develop team members through coaching, mentoring and feedback, building a pipeline of talent.
* Ensure customers are looked after, deliveries run quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
* Control key shop costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll to achieve all KPI’s, reporting directly to the area manager.
* Meet standards in customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation.
Qualifications and experience
* A friendly, positive and hardworking approach to work.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate people in a busy and challenging environment.
* A ‘people person’ who builds strong working relationships with everyone.
* Trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of a small team.
* Experience as a manager or assistant manager.
* A full driving licence is desirable. Applicants without a licence but meeting all other criteria are welcome to apply.
