Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Data Foundations Leader who is driven by impact, agile and an excellent communicator to join our Advanced Analytics team, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium or in one of our offices in Monheim, Germany, in Slough, United Kingdom or in Atlanta, United-States. About the role As the Data Foundations Leader, you will play a crucial role in creating outstanding foundational support for our global data science team and executing real world data strategy to enable data-driven actionable insights from advanced analytics and other functions across the asset value chain, thereby creating high impact patient value. This role is responsible for creating a foundation that enables impact through ensuring optimal access to data, tools and pipelines for our data scientists while deeply understanding available real world data sources to optimize our acquisition and onboarding of them. You will also drive the key components of our data acquisition strategy including serving as a direct contact for internal stakeholders across the asset value chain by liaising with key members of early solutions, R&D, RWE and commercials teams to ensure the optimal synergy between use cases is reflected in our data acquisitions approach. The Data Foundations Leader will be responsible for both the high level articulation and evaluation of asset focused use cases and will implement strategy for the appropriate use of data assets for the team and the design/ implementation of key analytics tools and foundational support for the team’s data scientists. Who you’ll work with Under the direction of the Global Advanced Analytics Head, you will collaborate closely with key business unit stakeholders, IT, the global data office, digital council, local commercial teams and the advanced analytics team to ensure the vision is maintained across functions. You should be prepared to developed high level, strategic presentations to executive members at UCB. What you’ll do Envisage the intersection of data use requirements across the global and local organizations at a strategic level to enable centralized data acquisition needs for UCB. Engage with the Data Strategy Head to develop the proper qualifications for the data, enabling the Data Strategy Head to negotiate effectively. Enable data usage and access for Advance Analytics/AI to generate routine and ad hoc actionable insights Identify and integrate primary market research results with data analytics Advise data scientists on appropriate data source usage Coordinate with business and IT partners to operationalize successful analytical experiments Manage data across the portfolio of assets at UCB Evolve the adoption and usage of secondary data and advanced analytics Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills Minimum 7 years of experience working with real world pharmaceutical data including but not limited to claims, EMR, labs, registries Minimum 7 years of experience partnering to create an exceptional user experience for data access Significant experience in presenting to senior level executives to align on data usage requirements and future needs Strong creativity in piecing together disparate data sets to solve business questions Expertise in understanding the sourcing, collection, and use applications of a range of large, secondary transactional databases Agile mindset with the ability to tailor communication style to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
