The UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies (UCL CBT) was established in 2015 to study the impact of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) and Blockchain on socio-economic systems and to promote their safe and organic adoption. As the hub for DLT research and engagement across eight UCL departments, the Centre also coordinates a global network of over 245 Research and Industry Associates from academia and industry. We are seeking a highly organised and operationally focused individual to support the delivery of UCL CBT’s core activities. This role sits at the heart of our operations, enabling effective collaboration across research, industry, and public sector partners in the DLT ecosystem.
The ideal candidates are expected to be able to:
* Maintain and improve operational processes across research funding, consultancy, partnerships, and events
* Coordinate academic administration and manage relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Support funding applications, including co-applications for UKRI, Horizon Europe, and other grants
* Plan and execute logistics for research events, workshops and seminars, including sponsor engagement
* Monitor budgets and ensure financial processes comply with UCL governance policies
* Produce clear reports, process documentation, and stakeholder communications
The ideal candidates are expected to also have some of the following qualities:
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Confidence working across academic, administrative and industry-facing teams
* Familiarity with research funding processes and university governance frameworks
* Reliability, independence, and a proactive working style
* Interest in blockchain, DLT, or emerging technologies
