Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Utilise a warehouse management system for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines.
* Assist in loading and unloading goods from lorries, ensuring all items are accounted for.
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocking shelves as needed.
* Engage in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
* Apply mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment as required.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow throughout the warehouse.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in materials handling techniques.
* Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is an advantage.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting, with the capability to lift items weighing up to 25 kg consistently.
* Experience in construction or mechanical roles is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Pay: £13.50-£14.21 per hour
