As a Short Term Services Support Worker, you will work with individuals in their own homes following a hospital stay, illness, or injury. Your role is to empower people to regain daily living skills and confidence, supporting them to live independently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver short-term, person-centred support to individuals recovering from illness, injury or a significant change of circumstances.
2. Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, mobility, and medication prompts.
3. Implement and help shape and develop reablement plans.
4. Encourage independence and monitor progress toward agreed goals.
5. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service reviews.
6. Promote dignity, respect, and independence at all times.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Flexibility to travel across North Devon, including rural areas.
11. Basic IT and record-keeping skills.
12. Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential – full training provided.
