Imagine being part of a team that delivers high-quality electrical designs for an APP and OHL/Cable Portfolio, meeting cost, time, and quality targets. You'll work within UK Power Networks design and CDM standards, contributing to the production of technical, commercial, and contractual documents for procurement of engineering products. Your role will involve collaborating with operational teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, and preparing design specifications and drawings within defined periods.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll bring an electrical engineering background and experience, with knowledge of power system and protection design at 132KV, 33KV, 11KV, and intermediate voltages. You should be familiar with design processes and DNO, ENA, and International Design Standards. A good safety culture, an understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications and AutoCAD are essential.
Working closely with diverse teams, you'll ensure that designs conform to all relevant Codes of Practice and company standards. Your role will require you to work unsupervised, set and comply with your targets, and identify innovative cost-saving solutions. Knowledge of project management and a general appreciation of financial reporting systems will be advantageous.
