Overview
We are seeking a dedicated FLT/Warehouse Operative to join our team on the late shift. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through efficient materials handling, equipment management, and shipping & receiving activities. The successful candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and mechanical tasks, ensuring smooth and safe warehouse functions during their shift.
Duties
* Operate counterbalance forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
* Load and unload goods from lorries, containers, and storage areas
* Manage materials handling using appropriate techniques and tools
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
* Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance as required
* Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
* Support stock organisation and storage optimisation within the warehouse
* Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment
Requirements
* Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including shipping & receiving tasks
* Valid counterbalance forklift licence or relevant certification
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Basic maths skills for inventory counts and documentation accuracy
* Experience with materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks or trolleys
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively during late shifts in a fast-paced environment
