About School:
North-Eastern Montessori School is a vibrant and progressive institution offering a Montessori-based curriculum for children from Early Learning to Year 6. We are excited to introduce our Middle Years Program in 2026, starting with our first cohort of Year 7 students.
Middle Years Program:
The program caters to the physical, mental, and social needs of adolescents, providing a rigorous curriculum centered on real-life experiential learning. Our Montessori approach emphasizes student autonomy, personalized learning, and fostering strong relationships between students and educators, building a cohesive and cooperative learning community.
Our goal is to create an environment where students love to learn, feel accepted, and are welcomed for who they are. We are currently planning building works for the Middle Years Hub, which will feature a state-of-the-art facility, along with a 3.5-acre Nature Reserve for adolescent students.
About The Role:
This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Teacher to work within the Middle Years Program. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the Montessori Adolescent Program, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students. A minimum of a teaching qualification meeting VIT registration requirements in Victoria is required.
The ideal candidate should be able to teach English, Spanish, and Humanities, and have experience working in a Montessori setting. Willingness to undertake additional training to obtain an AMI 12-18 Diploma is also desirable.
The roles are full-time and ongoing, with commencement in Term 4, 2025. This timing allows for curriculum planning and preparation ahead of the first student cohort in Term 1, 2026.
What We Offer:
We provide a supportive and collaborative work environment that values staff wellbeing and professional growth. Our salary range for this position is between $80,500 and $110,000 per annum, commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications.
