The Finance Business Partner (Finance BP) plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability and budgetary planning of the business through effective financial management, reporting, and forecasting. The Finance BP is also key in fostering a culture of ownership and continuous professional development within the team by encouraging, supporting, motivating, and managing performance effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and coaching a team of 5, including conducting 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and personal development plans.
2. Ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely accounting procedures across wholesale operations.
3. Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis.
4. Playing an active role in internal and external audits.
5. Producing cost centre profit and loss statements and supporting budget owners in review and management of data.
6. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
7. Managing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
8. Supporting the development of business case requests for additional resources and funding.
9. Using data analysis to review and recommend improvements on commercial activities across multiple sites.
10. Maintaining the team’s attendance records within company timelines and procedures.
11. Conducting disciplinary hearings in accordance with company policies.
12. Leading recruitment, induction, and training of new team members.
13. Proactively identifying areas for improvement and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
14. Attending and contributing to management and department meetings as required.
15. Performing any other ad hoc work assigned by the Commercial Finance Manager.
What we are looking for:
1. Relevant leadership and management experience, preferably within a finance and accounting context.
2. Experience with financial systems.
3. Advanced Excel skills.
4. Exceptional attention to detail while managing large datasets and working under tight deadlines.
5. Confident and influential communicator capable of building positive relationships at all levels.
6. Ability to manage complex personnel and business situations to achieve positive outcomes.
