This is a maternity cover position for 9 to 12 months with hybrid work, requiring 2 days in the office per week.

Role Summary:
The FP&A Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the quality and timeliness of financial reporting, while maintaining a robust internal control framework. Building strong stakeholder relationships and developing a comprehensive Management Accounting and FP&A function are essential as we expand into new regions.
All activities will be conducted in compliance with internal SOPs, external legislation, regulation, and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage management accounting and monthly reporting, including preparation of reports for Executive review.
2. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis; analyze headcount spend, manage fixed assets, capitalized labor, lease holdings, and R&D claims.
3. Partner with various teams to deliver credible financial insights and support business decision-making.
4. Assist in working capital planning, budgeting, corporate strategy, and preparing board packs.
5. Oversee reporting and compliance related to Share-Based Payments and the Share register.
6. Support the preparation of statutory accounts, ESG reports, statutory returns, and facilitate audits.
7. Lead finance projects and collaborate across departments.
8. Develop and improve financial processes and controls across the group.
9. Ensure adherence to finance policies and adapt to changing operational environments.
10. Drive business process excellence and develop reporting capabilities.
11. Provide oversight on Share-Based Payments and other key accounting areas.

Knowledge and Skills:
* Education: Recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, with management accounting and FP&A expertise.
* Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, understanding of basic accounting principles, and business acumen.
* Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date UK GAAP and IFRS, tax legislation, international accounting, and experience with foreign subsidiaries.
* Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Sage Intacct experience is desirable.
