*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality care and education to young children. The role involves supporting the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment.We are looking for a fun and caring individual to join and complete our team. The candidate must be hard working, passionate about early years and have a love of reading stories, enjoy playing outside in all weathers and finally, is able to sing a selection of silly songs!! Those that love cakes and baking will fit in well here!We are based in the heart of the community and are in a purpose built preschool room in Portchester community centre. We take around 40 children a day and we are all in one room with mixed ages. Our ethos is very child led and our aim is to prepare children for school knowing that they have the self- regulation skills, Independence and communication tools they need to succeed at school. Our curriculum impacts our youngest children too and this is evident in their independent skills and their exploratory nature as soon as they are toddling around.We aim to look after all in our Big discoveries family. We do this by supporting staff to train and gain knowledge in the things that they are passionate about. In turn we can best support our children and our little community. We aim to promote excellence and understand that if we have happy staff, we will have happy children and parents. We have many staff that have stayed with us since we have opened and we are looking for the right person to join and be part of our caring team.As a member of staff we know that each person is individual and we try to celebrate this, other perks are that we are closed for 2 weeks over Christmas and for a week over Easter too. We also offer more days of annual leave for you to choose independently, which means plenty of time with family. We want our staff to have healthy work to life balance.
