They are now looking to grow their London studio, and are looking for a strategic and ambitious Director – Architect to help drive business development, lead key bids, and shape the future of our practice.
The Role
As a, you will play a central role in both winning and delivering significant projects within our core sectors. You will work closely with the fellow Directors and Senior Management Team to strengthen client relationships, secure new commissions, and lead teams on high-profile projects.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, combines commercial insight with design leadership, and is ready to take the next step in their architectural career.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business development initiatives across healthcare, science, higher education, and defence sectors
* Identify and pursue new project opportunities and strategic partnerships
* Oversee and contribute to high-quality bids and presentations
* Develop and nurture long-term client relationships
* Provide design and technical leadership across multiple project stages
* Manage and mentor team members, supporting professional growth and development
* Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking functions
* Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure delivery excellence
About You
* ARB-registered Architect with a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience
* Demonstrable track record of securing work across at least two of our core sectors
* Strong industry network and a deep understanding of public procurement processes
* Proven experience in leading bids and successful project delivery
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to think strategically and contribute to studio growth and direction
* Experience working on complex, high-value projects is desirable
* A passion for creating architecture that supports innovation, care, and learning
