Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Year 1
Full-Time | After Easter Start | Primary School

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school supporting a Year 1 class on a full-time basis, starting after the Easter break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners at the start of their educational journey. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 pupils
Work with small groups and individual children to support learning and development
Assist pupils with early literacy, phonics, and numeracy activities
Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and well-organised classroom environment
Provide support for pupils with additional learning needs where required
Encourage positive behaviour and build pupils’ confidence and independence
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting (desirable but not essential)
Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting young learners
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be proactive and willing to support across classroom activities
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
