Role Overview

As our new Business Development Manager, you\'ll play a pivotal role in driving company growth—identifying new trade opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and expanding our brand footprint across independent retailers in the UK.


What You’ll Be Doing

* Prospect & Acquire
* Develop and nurture relationships with independent retailers, garden centres, and national chains to grow Wind Designs\' market share across core categories—arts & crafts, plush, action figures, outdoor toys, Games, and more.
* Introduce and promote new brands (e.g., Gui Gui launched in July 2025), strategically aligning with retailer needs and product trends.
* Strategic Sales Planning
* Co-create sales strategies and plans—including pricing proposals, promotional programmes, and trade shows—to maximise category presence.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless product delivery and retailer satisfaction.
* Stay ahead of toy and leisure market trends to provide insights on product performance and new retail opportunities.
* A proven track record in B2B sales/business development—preferably within toys, leisure, or FMCG sectors.
* Confidence in approaching and managing independent retailers and national chains.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Analytical mindset—capable of spotting trends and translating them into actionable strategies.
* Self-driven and goal-oriented, yet collaborative.
* A UK driver’s licence (UK travel required).
* Passion for toys, games, and creative play (bonus points!).

Package:

Competitive Salary £45-50k per annum

28 days holiday including BH
