Williams is an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant. We're looking for a field-based Renewables Business Development Manager to join our Contracts and Renewables team, with some travel to our Central Support offices in Fareham, Hampshire.
We're expanding our renewables portfolio and seek an experienced, influential, and creative individual to help develop our team’s expertise in renewables. You will be the go-to person for both employees and customers, providing expert advice and guidance on renewables, and helping colleagues understand this important product category.
Your role will also involve strengthening relationships with suppliers, advising senior stakeholders, and shaping our strategic direction in renewables.
Responsibilities include:
* Acting as the subject matter expert on technological, political, environmental, and legal factors regarding renewable products in the UK market.
* Creating training materials and programmes to enhance colleagues' knowledge of renewables.
* Collaborating with internal teams to identify gaps in our product portfolio and proposing improvements.
* Supporting customers and branch teams with quotes and projects.
* Assisting senior stakeholders in developing our renewables strategy.
Essential qualifications and skills:
* Expertise in sales of Air Source Heat Pumps, renewables, and low carbon products with strong technical knowledge.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar renewables business development role.
* Ability to translate strategy into actionable programmes to achieve goals.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
* Experience in developing and delivering in-house training.
