Marketplace Account Manager - Independent Agency - Hybrid Working - £45-50k

An established yet fast-growing digital marketing agency specialising in performance-driven eCommerce and Marketplace management. Working with a diverse portfolio of global and challenger brands, the team helps businesses grow their sales across Amazon and other leading online marketplaces through data-led strategy, creative optimisation, and smart automation.
With a collaborative, growth-focused culture, the agency empowers its people to take ownership of their accounts, share expertise, and drive real impact for clients. They're now seeking a Marketplace Account Manager to join their Marketplace team and lead a portfolio of key client accounts.
The Role
As Marketplace Account Manager, you'll be the main point of contact for a group of clients, overseeing the day-to-day performance and long-term success of their Marketplace activity. You'll develop and execute tailored strategies across content, advertising, and operations-ensuring clients achieve best-in-class results while identifying opportunities for growth.
This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone with strong Amazon experience and commercial acumen, who enjoys client ownership, problem-solving, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the lead contact for a portfolio of Marketplace clients, managing day-to-day communication and account delivery
* Develop and execute Marketplace strategies to drive sales and improve performance
* Oversee and contribute to content production, including asset optimisation, copy updates, and brand presentation
* Manage and troubleshoot client issues, ensuring high service standards and swift resolution
* Create and optimise Marketplace advertising campaigns using tools such as Pacvue and Helium10
* Deliver clear and actionable performance reporting, highlighting success and growth opportunities
* Identify ways to expand client partnerships and increase agency revenue
* Manage or mentor junior team members, supporting their development and workload
* Participate in internal growth initiatives such as marketing, PR, or proposition development
You
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Amazon Seller Central
* Proven track record of owning Amazon functions for a brand or multiple brands
* Confident managing clients, communicating results, and leading strategic discussions
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act decisively under pressure
* Experience with Marketplace advertising and performance reporting tools
* Comfortable working collaboratively across creative, operational, and commercial teams
Desirable:
* Experience with additional Marketplaces (e.g. Zalando, TikTok Shop, bol.com, Allegro, Mirakl)
* Previous agency-side experience and an understanding of commercial growth drivers
* Background as an Amazon vendor or seller
