Overview
This rotating post provides service and training in focal prostate cancer therapy, treatment of BPH, renal cancer, high volume stone disease, general urology and an opportunity to be involved in the forthcoming robotic Urology programme. The post holder will work across HHFT sites and acute urology on-call is provided at the Winchester site on a 1 in 6 basis (no night working currently) as 4 and 3 long day sessions (8-8). This is a combined HHFT acute urology service and is delivered by a dedicated Consultant of the Week.

Responsibilities

* Be involved in the forthcoming robotic Urology programme.
* Work across HHFT sites with the acute urology service; participate in on-call duties at Winchester on a 1 in 6 basis (no night work currently) as 4 and 3 long day sessions (8-8).
* Support a combined HHFT acute urology service delivered by a dedicated Consultant of the Week.
The Paperwork and Requirements
* The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC\'s Good Medical Practice (2013).
