About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Agency Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in a residential children’s home in Leicester. This role involves working closely with the child to meet their individual needs, support their development, and promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent 1:1 care and support to the child in line with their individual care plan.

Build positive relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect.

Support educational, social, and emotional development.

Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions.
*
Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to senior staff.

Work collaboratively with the wider team, including external professionals when required.
Person Specification / Requirements:

Previous experience working in a children’s home or similar setting is essential.

Experience providing 1:1 support to children with complex needs.
*
Understanding of child development and safeguarding principles.
*
Ability to remain patient, calm, and professional in challenging situations.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
