Main duties of the job
1. Deliver direct patient care, including phlebotomy, vaccinations, and sample collection
2. Conduct female and male genital examinations
3. Use microscopy and chaperone during IUT and other procedures
4. Support our Nurse-Led Walk-In Service with follow-ups, treatment, and Test of Cure clinics
5. Full training will be provided, with opportunities to complete national qualifications such as cervical cytology sampling and STI Foundation Gateway

Person specification
Education
Essential criteria
6. Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
7. Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
8. GCSE Grade A-C English and Maths or level 2 in Maths and English
Desirable criteria
9. Other Health related qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria
10. Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
11. Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate
12. Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information
Desirable criteria
13. Previous NHS experience
14. Acute hospital experience
15. Understanding NHS/ Health and Social care.
Skills
Essential criteria
16. Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
17. Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code.
18. Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
19. Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
