As an HGV Mechanic, your primary responsibility will be to ensure our fleet is in top-notch condition, complying with all legal and company standards. You will actively seek solutions to challenges and embrace a safe and efficient approach to your work.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

Shift Patterns: 5 out of 7 days, including weekends

Rate of Pay: £20.04 - £26.69 per hour
*
Shift Premiums:
o Saturday: £22.45 per hour
o Sunday: £29.69 per hour
o Overtime / Bank Holiday: £29.69 per hour
o Unsociable Hours: £22.78 per hour
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to the test centre
* Record vehicle defects and maintain accurate records of work performed
* Repair minor accident damage
* Conduct fault diagnosis
* Prioritize safety in all aspects of your work
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
* Commercial experience with HGVs is essential
* A Class C+E licence is preferable but not mandatory
* The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
