The Role
We are looking for an Electronics Engineering Technician / Instructor to:
* Prepare and set up equipment and components for practical sessions.
* Interpret diagrams and assemble circuits, PCBs, and PLC systems for teaching delivery.
* Demonstrate techniques such as soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly to students.
* Support lecturers and aid students through practical demonstrations and one-to-one assistance.
* Order, maintain, and manage stock of components, ensuring workshops run smoothly.
* Promote safe working practices and maintain high-quality workshop standards.
About You
You ll have a strong background in electronics/electrical engineering with excellent practical skills and a collaborative, learner-focused approach.
Essential skills and experience:
* Level 3 or above in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Skilled in soldering, PCB assembly, wiring, and working with PLCs.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage equipment and stock.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety in workshop/lab environments.
Desirable:
* Experience mentoring, training, or instructing others.
* Teaching or assessor qualifications (or willingness to work towards).
