Ourclient is a leading and well-respected manufacturing company who specialise within the Oil & Gas industry.
Due to increased demand they are now looking for a Quality Engineer.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
·The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the quality control / assurance management systems.
·Support the Quality Manager in the maintenance of the systems.
·Conduct internal audits and ensure the audit schedule is maintained.
·Carry out Supplier validation audits and risk assessments and develop supplier audit schedule in agreement with QA Manager
·Facilitate Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions & Preventative Actions of Internal & Supplier Quality Issues.
·Review FAIR / PPAP documentation.
·Maintain the document control & calibration system.
·Create, maintain and review forms and procedures as required.
·Provide training and support on quality requirements and quality tools.
·Collate and evaluate data to identify process improvement opportunities within the business and participate or lead improvement projects.
·Supports Continuous improvement efforts through involvement in structured problem solving and other activities using LEAN concepts.
·Manage and coordinate Quality KPI’s as required.
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
·2+ years of work experience in a Quality Assurance Engineer role at a manufacturing site
·Robust knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015.
·Auditor Qualification and experience of conducting internal and supplier audits.
·Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods.
·Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications.
·Sound quality judgement and decision-making capability.
·Manufacturing / engineering experience.
·ERP System experience.
·Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with a wide variety of people.
·Ability to collaborate and make pragmatic decisions that ensure compliance and quality while considering cost, schedule and risk.
·Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
·Expected travel globally is up to 35% yearly or as necessary to exceed plan & activities.
