Bay Tree House group are a developing provider of innovative, holistic care for young people with both of our homes rated good by OFSTED.
We specialise in working with children and young people with a range of learning disabilities and associated behavioural difficulties. We are seeking to appoint a Registered Manager to join our larger 6 bed home within the Gravesend/Rochester area.
With support from the Responsible Individual, you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership, and direction of the home. You will achieve the highest standards of performance to help Bay Tree House provide excellent support and positive outcomes for the young people within our care.
The role is busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters within the home. You will also be responsible for training, supervision and provide advice to support staff and developing the Childrens Home. Working as a Registered Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children in our care, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them, creating a nurturing foundation in adulthood.
We Expect You To:
Have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations as well as experience of the Regulatory inspection process itself and having achieved quality Ratings for which you would be aiming to achieve within this service. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to childrens lives.
You will have some In-depth knowledge of, SEMH, Learning Disabilities and other complex and challenging behaviour needs of young people. You will also hold a current UK Driving License.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young Peoples Residential Management) qualification is an essential component of requirement but in exceptional circumstances will consider applicants providing they are willing and able to complete once in the role. You must however have supervisory or management experience to meet the regulation requirements. The ideal candidate would have managed a Home previously and be the designated Manager documented on previous Ofsted reports.
