A well-regarded offshore law firm is looking to appoint a junior Banking & Finance lawyer to join its established Guernsey practice, advising on high-value, cross-border financing transactions. The role offers exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters, including fund finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate finance and general corporate lending. Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will support on complex transactions while developing the confidence to take ownership of discrete work streams as your experience grows. The client base is international and includes leading financial institutions, sponsors and corporate borrowers. Responsibilities include advising on financing transactions, drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, supporting deal execution from inception through to completion, and maintaining direct engagement with clients and counterparties. Candidates should meet the following criteria: England & Wales qualified or from a recognised common law jurisdiction 0–1 years’ PQE within a reputable banking or finance practice Strong academic background Sound technical grounding Genuine interest in developing within an offshore environment This is a strong platform for a newly qualified lawyer to build a career in offshore finance, gaining hands-on experience in sophisticated transactions without the narrow specialisation often seen in larger onshore teams.
