We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team in Southampton and Chichester areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of our long-standing projects, supporting vulnerable young people aged 16-25 in a supported living environment. The role involves 24-hour shifts with a highly paid sleep-in allowance. Rotas are provided one month in advance and you can work up to 4 x 24-hour shifts per week, subject to availability. Most shifts involve lone working with the young person, but there is plenty of support from the management team and on-call staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with vulnerable young people who have faced traumatic experiences. You must be able to work independently and use your initiative to plan your day, while also fully engaging with the service users you support. We are looking for emotionally resilient, patient, and empathetic individuals who understand the importance of consistency in their approach. You must be able to establish and maintain safe working boundaries with the young people you support, as they may display challenging and unpredictable behaviours at times. A good understanding of OFSTED regulations and requirements would be advantageous.
