Job Title: Pricing Analyst
Salary: £34,455 - £38,000 (Depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week
Location: Peterborough

About IPSD
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Resources Pricing team, based at our Peterborough facility. As a Pricing Analyst, you will partner with product, financial and industry teams to guide the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies that align with product and enterprise goals for revenue and profitability
What You Will Do
* Maintain pricing records in accordance with SOX and organizational standards.
* Provide data and analysis to help support strategic pricing action on new and existing products and services.
* Support Sales and Commercial teams with pricing queries and regular data analysis and reporting.
* Support process improvements and take part in special projects and ad hoc requests.
What You Will Have
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Level Working Knowledge:
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Level Working Knowledge:
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Level Working Knowledge:
Top candidates will also have
* Experience and demonstrated capabilities in the use of analytics tool (e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI)
* Ability to problem solve and draw analytical conclusions.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities
* Understanding of pricing processes
