Requirements
* Previous Grill, Prep, or chef de partie experience preferred
* Kitchen experience essential
* Calm and able to work under pressure
* Clear and prompt communication skills
* Flexible with tasks and working hours
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Assisting in Day-to-day management of the Kitchen
* Ensure smooth and professional kitchen operations by following Head Chef’s instructions, completing operational tasks safely and efficiently (including daily administration), adhering to company standards
* Support and communicate regularly with the Head/Sous Chef and Restaurant Manager
* Manage the kitchen, team, and daily orders in the absence of the Senior Chef
* Manage stock levels efficiently, minimize wastage
* Report equipment issues promptly
Food Quality, Presentation and Hygiene
* Prepare food with the freshest ingredients to ‘The Real Greek’ standards
* Report issues with food quality and freshness from suppliers or the kitchen to the relevant managers
* Follow stock labeling (DOT system) and FIFO rotation to ensure proper usage
* Maintain correct temperatures for deliveries, storage, and cooking, recording them daily
* Support menu changes implementation
Supervising the Kitchen Porter team
* Lead by example, maintaining a clean and presentable kitchen
* Ensure proper use of equipment and chemicals
* Praise and recognize good performance
