Footwear TechnologistLocation: Kettering, UKSalary: Up to £33,000Hours: 37.5 hours per week day shiftAbout the RoleA leading technical services organisation is looking to recruit a Footwear Technologist to support its growing customer base. This role involves testing products to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, delivering technical guidance, and representing the business through customer engagement and presentations.Key ResponsibilitiesReview test results and discuss findings with clientsPrepare technical reports and respond to customer enquiriesDeliver presentations, seminars and webinarsEnsure compliance with quality systems and health & safety standardsSupport the development and training of junior technical staffDeliver internal and external training programmesContribute to technical articles and industry publicationsParticipate in client visits and promote servicesAbout YouEssential:Good understanding of physical testing methodsStrong organisational and planning skillsExperience in a customer-facing roleConfident presenting to groupsExcellent time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Able to work both independently and collaborativelyHigh level of motivation and initiativeStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsWillingness to travel as requiredDesirable:Relevant technical qualification (e.g. science or maths degree)Experience within the footwear or related industryExposure to sales, marketing, or business development activitiesProfessional training/qualification in relevant technical disciplines (or working towards)Full UK driving licenceBenefits2530 days annual leave (depending on service)Company pension schemeLife assuranceIncome protectionFlexible working hoursFree on-site parkingAdditional InformationApplication deadline: 29 May 2026 Interview date: 10 June 2026 (onsite)Interested?
