Here at Pets at Home, we’re rolling out a new Practice Management System across our veterinary business – and we need a Finance Project Operational Assistant to make it happen.
About the Role:
In this role, you’ll support the Finance Project Operational Lead to ensure a smooth migration, accurate financial data and robust processes that keep our practices focused on what matters most: pet wellbeing. You’ll play a key part in pre-migration preparation, cutover activities and hyper-care support, helping colleagues adapt confidently to new ways of working.
We can offer a 12-month fixed term contract to support the project, with hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.
What you’ll do:
1. Prepare and validate financial data for migration, safeguarding accuracy and compliance
2. Monitor transactions post-go-live, flag issues and support quick resolutions
3. Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
4. Provide hands-on support and training to Finance and Practice teams
What we’re looking for:
5. Familiarity with financial processes like transaction monitoring and reconciliation
6. Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data
7. Excellent communication and organisational skills
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Desirable:
9. Exposure to practice management systems (., Provet) or payment providers (., Worldpay)
10. AAT Level 3 or working towards a professional finance qualification
