Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Leeds, UK (2- 3 days a week)
Job Type: 6 Months FTC
Key Responsibilities
* Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions
* Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization
* Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle
* Support solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives
* Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test scenarios and validating outcomes
* Maintain requirement traceability and manage changes to scope
* Prepare documentation such as BRD, FRD, process flows, use cases, and reports
* Provide insights using data analysis and support decision-making
* Act as a liaison to ensure smooth communication between business and technical teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (varies by role level)
* Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
* Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques and documentation
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, Visio, Power BI (or similar)
Preferred Skills (Optional)
* Domain experience (Banking, Finance, Healthcare, Retail, etc.)
* Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools
* Agile certifications (CSPO, CSM, CBAP, ECBA)
