Stirling Dynamics is recruiting Principal and Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join the Software & Electronic Hardware team. Due to recent contract wins and supporting continued growth, Stirling Dynamics are looking for a talented and experienced electronics design engineer to join our team to work with us delivering complex electronic based solution for electro-mechanical products, projects, and services to the world's leading Aerospace & Defence companies. This role is to fill a position in the dynamic multi discipline team developing electro-mechanical based systems for Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing Aircraft (EVTOL). This role will be based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to our clients’ sites as required however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work a hybrid working model. Define and mature electronics system requirements for airborne electronic hardware. To support this activity, it will be necessary to be able to abstract and refine the intent of the customer requirements for airborne electro-mechanical systems. Support the decomposition of electronics system requirements into a design at the appropriate level of abstraction. Under the direction of the Electronics Systems Architect support the specification of higher-level electronic system designs. Communicate and negotiate with electronics hardware, FPGA, and software engineers to ensure optimum electronic systems are specified. Derive and specify requirements based on the higher-level design. Attend and contribute to design reviews and the certification authority’s stage of involvement audits. Carry out informal reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure that the D0-254 design assurance requirements are being met. Create electronics system verification and validation tests for safety-critical airborne electro-mechanical equipment.
