Lessons are already planned for you, so your job is to lead the class, guide pupils through the set work and maintain a positive, calm learning environment. Sports coaches excel in this role, because you already know how to manage groups, give clear instructions, stay composed under pressure and motivate young people. It’s all the same skills, just swapped from the pitch to the classroom.
