Job Title: Senior Engineering Project Team Leader (Certifications & Emissions)
Salary: £73,440 - £85,000 (depending on experience)
Location : Peterborough

About LPSD
The Caterpillar Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has locations across the world where large engine platforms for multiple Caterpillar brands are developed, designed, and manufactured to be used in oil & gas, electric power, marine, rail and Cat machine applications. LPSD also designs and manufactures drivetrains and the four key engine systems -- fuel systems, air systems, aftertreatment systems and cooling systems that determine the cost and performance trajectory of most Caterpillar engines and machines.
Role Definition
As a Senior Engineering Project Team Leader in the Emissions and Product Regulatory Compliance department, you will have leadership responsibility for the business side of development, deployment, and maintenance of Caterpillar’s bespoke software systems that support various certification and compliance workflows. You will leverage expert knowledge of project leadership as well as software and IT systems to shape the vision and development roadmap for those systems. You will manage multiple or complex development projects involving multiple organizations, products, and jurisdictions to deliver solutions to meet current and future regulatory requirements and support business process execution.
Responsibilities
7. Develop project scope and execution plans to address business challenges and opportunities.
8. Coordinate resources across the department, engineering groups, manufacturing facilities, IT and other functional areas as needed.
9. Oversee project progress and costs; communicate status with stakeholders and participating organizations; address and resolve problems; drive projects to completion on time and within budget.
10. Direct project staffing, motivate and develop project team and team members.
11. Manage a portfolio of high-impact, short and long duration initiatives and projects, ensuring effective prioritization of resources, achievement of development plans, usability, and business value realization.
12. Provide specialized technical support and consulting to various areas of the organization.
13. Develop and maintain a strategic development roadmap; partner with IT to ensure software architecture sustainably supports execution to the roadmap.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience desired

23. Experience as part of a software development team using various methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
24. Experience integrating multiple software systems and/or leveraging data lake technology.
25. Extensive knowledge of Teamcenter and other product data management systems.
26. Experience with Caterpillar's CDM system.
27. Understanding of master data management principles and experience as a data owner.
28. Expert knowledge in use of Microsoft content management, collaboration, and reporting tools including SharePoint and Power BI.
29. Experience with multiple approaches to change management and leading teams to successful implementation of new processes and tools.
