We are looking for an outstanding strategic leader who is truly passionate about community wellbeing and has the skills and leadership energy to take a strategic and holistic view to how Cornwall works as a place, what unique challenges exist locally and how to apply system transformation and outstanding customer service to a range of preventative and community services. You will be passionate about health, wellbeing and wider determinates of health ranging from prevention to enforcement services ensuring that communities in Cornwall can thrive and health inequalities are tackled across time horizons; with responsibility for Community Safety, Public Health, Community services as well as Waste and Regulatory services, you will be uniquely placed to do this. As a key member of the Council’s Team of Directors, you will work alongside the Chief Operating Officer and three other Strategic Directors to support the Chief Executive in delivering the Council’s ambitious 2050 vision and business plan. You will be an exceptional place-based leader working in close partnership with the Isles of Scilly Leadership Board and nationally to drive a focus on long term community outcomes. You’ll be able to articulate a clear vision of integration and improvement that makes a material and sustained difference to the people and communities we serve. A track record of successful change management is essential, and you must bring a full portfolio of senior leadership skills (including finance, policy, analysis and service improvement).
