We are looking for a Level 3 qualified (or 'time on job' qualified) experienced HGV Mechanic that wants to take the next step in their career. The right candidate will be able to 'own the role' and have control of the workshop and Mercedes HGV fleet. You will need to work autonomously to the highest standards ensuring full legislative compliance and adhere to company policies. You must have proven experience as a HGV Mechanic
Monday - Friday and alternate Saturday Mornings
You will have full responsibility for the workshop schedule, parts ordering and budget control.
Main Duties and Requirements:
* Carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs to HGV fleet and trailers
* MOT booking, preparation and presenting for test
* Comply to SSOW and ensure highs standards of Health and Safety
* Have experience in Diagnostic systems/software
* Have a class 1 licence, Digi-card and up to date CPC
* Have excellent record keeping and organisational skills
* Be able to confidently work and communicate with the Management team
* Organise or complete out of hours recovery/repairs etc as necessary
