The Role: The role holder will work within the NSS team on the operation and administration of data network, collaboration and wireless services for the University. The role will be required to work with both internal customers and external service providers to ensure that the collaboration, wireless and data network services are responsive and continue to meet the Universitys needs. Assisting in the support and maintenance of the University campus data infrastructure including edge network switching, ensuring the University data network is optimised, monitored and performing to expectations. Continually contribute to the universitys hardware renewals The working pattern for this post is 16 hours a week: Monday Thursday 3 hours, 15 minutes and Friday 3 hours. We would consider reduced hours and flexible work pattern to attract the right candidate. This role will require 40% of the days worked on site as it is an operational role in the team. This will be offered following the initial onboarding and probationary period passing. That being said, the role will involve delivery of engineering tasks and physical equipment configuration on site so we can offer reasonable flexibility when personal circumstance require it, while ensuring tasks can be delivered on our campus.
