About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and passionate Business Development Manager to join our Sales team and shape the future of sustainable packaging. You will seek and develop new accounts that will be best suited by the nature of our business, and represent the Company through day to day customer contact to maintain and enhance the Company’s image and presence in the market place. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and delivering growth, this is your chance to make a real impact.
Responsibilities
* Drive new business by identifying and introducing new customers and products.
* Lead customer site visits and factory tours.
* Shape and implement strategies for customer retention and development.
* Manage a rolling programme of customer visits and deliver insightful reports.
* Craft compelling proposals and communications for new business.
* Collaborate on new product development (NPD) to ensure successful product launches.
* Provide accurate forecasting and account management.
* Contribute to monthly Sales meetings and monitor customer satisfaction.
What you need
* Proven success in sales growth within FMCG Packaging – ideally in a BDM or Account Manager role.
* A proactive approach to identifying and converting new opportunities.
* Real-world examples of sales success and strategic thinking.
* Strong knowledge of packaging markets – Food & Drink sector knowledge would be desirable.
* Knowledge of both standard and bespoke packaging solutions.
* A consultative, value-driven sales approach.
* Passion for sustainability, recycled materials, and CO₂ reduction.
* Self-motivation, energy, and enthusiasm.
