We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our team.
What will you be doing:
As an inventory Controller, you will carry out a range of varied tasks supporting the Senior Inventory Controller and ensuring Inventory integrity, quality standards, and internal controls are met. Additionally you will:
* Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act and promote good EHS and GMP practices within the department to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the area. Particularly, ensure safe use of specialist equipment such as Order Pickers, forklift trucks, pallet movers, racking, and other electrical equipment. Comply with all PPE policies and requirements for the area.
* Where requested, carry out daily checks against established EHS and GMP checklists covering equipment (e.g. Order Pickers, FLTs,) and the general working environment
* Ensure all documentation for Internal Control requirements is actioned and sign-offs are completed in accordance to the control matrix.
* Investigate and respond to problems in relation to Inventory communicating any issues to your immediate manager to ensure minimum disruption and maximum service levels.
* Provide support to the Senior Inventory Controller/Team Leader through feedback on inventory issues regularly, taking responsibility for projects or assignments focusing on operational performance issues. Deputise for the Senior Inventory Controller to cover holidays and any absence.
* Investigate and respond to any enquiries received from other departments i.e., QA, Planning, Purchasing, Finance this is to aid investigations from customer complaints or help to meet customer requirements.
* In the absence of the Senior Inventory Controller to assist with internal and external Auditors
* Receive any new training and assist in the training of other operators as required. Training must be in accordance with the necessary Sop’s and associated documentation.
* Perform cycle counts usingKnapp ~ OSR/Baan/ RP/JDA/Cims, physically count stock and enter data on the RF Guns and onto Paper Count Checklists.
* Ensure investigations are completed in a timely manner in accordance with Internal Controls and adjustments are completed in a timely manner.
* Awareness of departmental costs and promote cost saving philosophy.
* Run weekly and monthly warehouse reports on specific reason codes.
* Produce K.P.I’s as required and be able to present the information.
* Maintain staff holiday, attendance, and training records for temporary staff.
* Support Special Handling process
* Provide when required support to System Support and BSA teams
* Ensure expiry stock rotation is kept up to date
* Check/remove stock from locations ref: expiry dates, blocked lots and damaged product.
* Overseeing the ordering and receiving of solutions, over labels, and sales and marketing materials from Goods in Dept.
* Rework of finished goods.
* Transferring of stock using the RF functions of load and expiry transfer.
* Investigate and return to stock any over/mis picks from Distribution/Packaging & Labelling.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reconciliation reports.
* Be prepared to work in other areas of operations for specified periods of time as required.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player who can use their own initiative.
In addition, you’ll have:
* In house systems and operations of these systems i.e. BAAN, WMS, JDA, OSR/Knapp, CIMS, GPS, Excel and Word would be an advantage
* Good communication skills with the ability to communicate well with internal and external customers
* Computer Skills and office package knowledge
