Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Order Picker

Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Salary: £27,125 per annum
The Opportunity
A well-established and growing UK distribution business is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative / Picker to join its busy warehouse operation on the afternoon shift.
This role is heavily focused on order picking and plays a key part in ensuring customers receive the correct products, on time and in full. You’ll be joining a structured, fast-paced environment where accuracy, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

The Role
Working as part of a warehouse team, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders and preparing them for dispatch. You’ll handle products safely, follow established processes, and contribute to the smooth running of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists and warehouse systems
· Ensure all orders are complete, correct, and ready for dispatch
· Handle products safely and efficiently in line with manual handling guidelines
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily targets
· Report picking errors, stock discrepancies, or damages promptly
· Follow all operational procedures, quality standards, and safety rules
About You
· Previous warehouse or picking experience is desirable but not essential
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Comfortable with manual handling tasks
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work the 2pm–10pm shift consistently
· Positive attitude with a strong team-focused approach
· Willingness to learn and follow processes
