My client is a market leading tax incentive consultancy firm specialising in R&D Tax Credits and Capital Allowances. HQ is based in Bangor, Co Down with offices also located in Dublin and Glasgow. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has risen for a forward thinking and ambitious Chartered Accountant or Tax Specialist/Adviser to join their team. Working under the guidance of the Financial Director you will work alongside our Technical Consultants to collate and prepare financial reports that support our clients claims for submission to HMRC. You will work closely with the client visiting their premises from time to time to help you understand their unique operation/situation, youll liaise with the clients Accountant to obtain and collate relevant information including Corporation Tax computations and Annual Returns, this will help you prepare bona-fide claims. The successful candidate will need to hold FCA, ACA, CTA or ATT qualifications and have good commercial / business acumen. You should have a sound understanding of HMRCs guidelines on R&D (and preferably of the Irish Revenues guidelines) together with Capital Allowances. You will be a confident communicator and be comfortable liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients. You will have at least 5 years accounts / finance experience and be competent in analysing business accounts and using accountancy software. Attractive salary on offer of £40k to £45k with bonuses based on company achievements, 25 days holiday plus 10 stats. pension, private medical and all out-of-pocket expenses. Annual accountancy subscription fees paid for. Hours of work are 8:30 to 5 Monday to Thursday and 9 to 3 on Friday. The role is office based, but we are flexible to any reasonable request.
