Shape the Future.</p><p>This isnt a role where you inherit a customer base and maintain the status quo.</p><h3>The Opportunity</h3><p>Were looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual to establish and grow our presence within the social housing and public sector market.</p><p>Starting with a blank canvas, youll develop the strategy, build relationships, secure contracts, and create a sustainable revenue stream that positions the business as a recognised partner to housing associations, local authorities, and contractors throughout the region.</p><p>This is your chance to build a sector, not just manage one.</p><h3>What Youll Be Doing</h3><h3>Create the Strategy</h3><ul><li>Identify and target key housing associations, local authorities, and Tier 1 & Tier 2 contractors across the North West.</li><li>Develop and execute a regional growth strategy.</li><li>Build a strong pipeline of opportunities and establish the business as a credible and trusted partner within the sector.</li></ul><h3>Win New Business</h3><ul><li>Open new trading accounts and secure supply agreements.</li><li>Identify framework opportunities and tender prospects.</li><li>Drive product specifications and increase market share within new customers.</li><li>Convert opportunities into long‑term, recurring revenue streams.</li></ul><h3>Build Lasting Relationships</h3><ul><li>Develop strong partnerships with procurement teams, asset and maintenance managers, repairs and maintenance teams, and contractors delivering planned and reactive works.</li><li>Create strategic partnerships that deliver value, service, and long‑term growth.</li></ul><h3>Collaborate Across the Business</h3><p>Working closely with branch teams, procurement, category managers, and key account colleagues, youll ensure customers receive the service, stock availability, and commercial support needed to win and retain business.</p><h3>Frameworks & Public Sector Procurement</h3><ul><li>Identify and develop opportunities through key frameworks including PfH, Fusion21, and local DPS agreements.</li><li>Support and lead tender submissions.</li><li>Create a pipeline of framework‑led opportunities that support long‑term growth.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><p>Youll be someone who enjoys creating opportunities rather than inheriting them.</p><h3>Essential</h3><ul><li>A proven track record in social housing, public sector, construction supply, or builders merchant sales.</li><li>Experience winning new business and developing markets from scratch.</li><li>Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work independently.</li><li>Existing relationships within housing associations, contractors, or public sector organisations.</li></ul><h3>Desirable</h3><ul><li>Experience of framework procurement and tendering.</li><li>Knowledge of planned maintenance and repairs & maintenance programmes.</li><li>Established contacts within the North West social housing sector.</li></ul><h3>Reward & Progression</h3><ul><li>Competitive salary (£50,000+ DOE)</li><li>Uncapped performance‑related bonus</li><li>Company car or car allowance</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package</li><li>Genuine opportunity to shape and lead a growing business sector</li></ul><h3>Why Apply</h3><p>This role offers more than sales targets and account management.
