TSW Training are looking to recruit a skilled and knowledgeable Essential Skills Tutor to deliver qualifications in line with a range of apprenticeships. This customer-facing role ensures apprentices and employers receive exceptional support and training experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Essential Skills, be able to drive as the role will involve travel to multiple employers. Previous experience in teaching and work-based learning is highly desirable.

As the face of our business, you'll deliver high-level customer service and build crucial relationships with employers and apprentices.

Key responsibilities include:

* Work with Training Advisors to understand apprentice essential skills support needs.
* Support apprentice engagement with essential skills by month 4 of learning programmes.
* Deliver high quality teaching, learning, and assessment to all apprentices requiring essential skills qualifications.
* Support Training Advisors with the development of literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, and Welsh language skills apprentices.
* Manage a caseload of apprentices requiring essential skills qualifications.
* Deliver group upskill sessions at TSW, employer and community venues.
* Undertake invigilation of controlled assessments and formal tests.
* Work with colleagues to support the wellbeing of learners.
* Provide one-to-one support for apprentices as required.
* Conducting scheduled visits to employers for learning delivery, assessment, and apprentice reviews employers in line with quality and compliance requirements.
* Maintaining accurate records of learning and progress in line with internal and external requirements.
* Providing expert advice, guidance, and support to employers and apprentices.
* Proactively resolving issues impacting learner achievement.
* Work with colleagues to support apprentices with additional learning needs.
* Adhere to the Education Workforce Council (EWC) Code of Professional Conduct and Practice.
* Undertake continuous professional development in relation to occupational competence as well as teaching and assessment practices.
* Adhere to all internal quality assurance policies and procedures.
* Participate in standardisation and sharing of best practice within and across delivery teams.
* Adhere to internal and external health and safety requirements.
* Adhere to all requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

* Timely completion and submission of documentation
* Quality standards in documentation completion
* Assessment quality (including verification as applicable)
* Apprentice satisfaction
* Employer satisfaction

* Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills and be confident in dealing with a wide range of contacts.
* Excellent IT skills and digital literacy.
* Excellent written skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
* Be able to manage your own time and prioritise effectively.
* Experience of teaching and assessment.
* Understanding of the Prevent Duties.
