POSITION TITLE: Vice President (Business Development)

District 4 Labs (“District 4” or “D4”) is a cutting-edge data business dedicated to building the open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools and technologies of tomorrow. Its flagship product, DARKSIDE, is one of the world’s largest repositories of breached data, compromised records, and other person of interest information. DARKSIDE was built by investigators for investigators and is critical for any online investigation or intelligence gathering exercise, especially those involving attribution and online account identification.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Vice President will act as District 4’s market-facing leader in the U.K. and broader EMEA region. This will involve attending conferences, pursuing speaking engagements, and meeting with clients and partners across the U.K., Europe (“EU”), and Middle East with the ultimate goal of growing District 4. You will work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to craft a business development strategy that includes channel partnerships and new enterprise and consulting firm clients.
COMPETENCIES
Qualified candidates need not have a sales, marketing, or business development background, but should be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the OSINT space and outline a successful approach to winning new clients and partners in the region. Qualified candidates will have:
· A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in the open-source intelligence (“OSINT”) field, preferably in the private sector.
· Working knowledge of the broader OSINT sector, including familiarity with investigative tools / platforms and other OSINT data sets (i.e. social media, dark web, public records).
· Demonstrated ability to network within the private and public sector intelligence ecosystem, primarily in the U.K. and EU.
· Willingness to travel to meet current and prospective clients and partners, including occasionally on short notice.
· Excellent organizational skills, primarily in the context of updating a customer relationship management (“CRM”) tool.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Demonstrated experience working as part of a team to accomplish goals, including through collaboration with other customer-facing team members
