I have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering organisation based in Portland, Dorset. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who is looking for a varied position combining workshop-based work with customer site visits, with occasional overnight stays away from home required to support business needs. The role will be split approximately 50% in the workshop and 50% on customer sites. Additional payments are provided when working away from home. Mechanical Engineer Requirements: A demonstrable background in mechanical engineering. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Experience working with hydraulics, pumps, motors or similar equipment. Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair mechanical systems. A proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn. Strong problem-solving skills. Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required. Full UK driving licence.
