Accounts Assistant – 6 month fix-term contract - County Wicklow- €45,000 + Benefits
The Job:
An established manufacturing and distribution organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support its high volume operational finance function. This is a fast paced role requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage significant transactional workloads. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Purchasing and Operations teams to ensure the smooth running of daily financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high volume customer invoices and monthly account statements
- Maintain the debtor ledger, carry out credit control activities, and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
- Process stock dispatches within the ERP system, including batch and lot tracking
- Review delivery and landed cost data, resolving discrepancies where required
- Manage multi-currency transactions (GBP, EUR, USD)
- Complete bank and card reconciliations and assist with finance reporting
- Monitor debtor insurance limits and support compliance processes (VIES, Intrastat, triangulation knowledge advantageous)
The Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Administration position covering AP, AR and general ledger processes
- Previous experience within manufacturing or distribution environments, including exposure to stock movements, SKUs, batch/lot tracking and logistics
- Proven ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately within deadline-driven environments
- Practical working knowledge of VAT processes, including sales, purchases, credit notes, and multi-currency transactions (VIES/Intrastat exposure desirable)
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions (GBP/EUR/USD)
- ERP system experience (Sage 200 or similar preferred) with strong Excel capability
- A reliable, organised, and resilient individual who remains calm under pressure and contributes positively within a collaborative team environment

- Salary €40,000 - €45000 DOE
