This is a Field / Home Office based role, open to candidates with a Process Engineering background in Papermaking interested in developing their career in a specialist role.
Our globally recognized client offers custom-designed parts essential for the production of paper, tissue, and cardboard. They seek to appoint a Technical Service Representative / Process Engineer to work within their busy team, acting as the link between the business and UK customers.
The role involves approximately 2 days per week working from a home office.
The working hours include driving time, and the TSR manages their own schedule, allowing flexibility to take time back when appropriate.
The successful candidate's time will mainly be spent in paper mills across the UK responding to customer needs and ensuring expectations are met.
Main duties include:
* Managing and focusing on sales/orders within a dedicated UK area, fostering good customer relationships to strengthen current and potential business links, identifying new applications for existing products, and reporting market changes and trends.
* Understanding and communicating technical and economic features of products and services, handling customer complaints positively and sales-oriented, and balancing company and customer interests.
* Carrying out machine surveys on paper machines.
* Collecting, recording, and analyzing data from paper machines statistically.
* Advising on machine settings to optimize product performance.
* Reporting customer needs and expectations to technical and sales teams, liaising between customers and the company.
Industry / Technical knowledge required:
* Knowledge of paper machines and processing, process engineering training or qualification, computer literacy, and ability to perform statistical data analysis.
Mobility requirements:
Full valid UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK. A company car will be provided.
