The Opportunity
The Echo Valley Area team is seeking a Facilities Technician to join our operations team. Reporting to the Area Manager, the Facilities Technician supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of station facilities by helping organize and maintain sites, assisting various trades, supporting overhaul and maintenance work, and completing general labor and site support tasks in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be selected based on qualifications and operational fit, with home-base location determined from the listed eligible sites. This role is well suited to a safety-focused, self-motivated, and dependable technician who enjoys hands-on field work and takes pride in maintaining safe, organized, and reliable facilities. The position supports a diverse asset base that includes natural gas compression, station auxiliaries, yard and site equipment, and related pipeline facilities across the Echo Valley Area. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a manner that reflects TC Energy’s Four Pillars: Safety, People, Operational Excellence, and Financial Stewardship, while demonstrating adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
1. Support organizing and maintaining the site, including housekeeping, site cleanliness, yard organization, material storage, and general station upkeep.
2. Assist various trades and support overhaul, outage, maintenance, and project work across the area.
3. Perform laboring tasks as required, including cleaning, handling materials, shipping and receiving, and supporting day-to-day operational needs at station sites.
4. Support seasonal and grounds maintenance activities such as snow removal, grass cutting, and maintaining safe access and work areas around facilities.
5. Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment, including mechanical systems, piping, valves, vessels, coolers, filters, lubricating systems, and station support equipment.
6. Perform routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance on compressor station equipment and related pipeline facilities in support of safe and reliable operations.
7. Support safe work execution by participating in hazard assessments, tailgates, permitting activities, and compliance with Community, Safety, and Environment requirements.
8. Operate equipment such as skid steers, loaders, forklifts, picker trucks, or other site equipment as required and qualified.
9. Coordinate and monitor contractors or subcontractors as required and support project and turnaround activities across the area.
10. Complete administrative functions and accurately use company systems and digital tools for communication, work management, reporting, and maintenance documentation.
11. Participate in emergency response, on-call support, and cross-disciplinary field work as needed to support operational requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
12. High School Diploma or GED required.
13. Experience supporting industrial, mechanical, facilities, maintenance, or labor-intensive work in a field environment.
Preferred Qualifications
14. Trade certification, technical training, or related maintenance training is considered an asset. Ability to meet and maintain company-defined qualifications, training requirements, and technical tasks associated with the position.
15. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in support of safe, reliable station operations.
16. Experience supporting natural gas compression, pipeline facilities, industrial operations, or field-based maintenance environments.
17. Experience with site organization, housekeeping, material handling, shipping and receiving, and general station upkeep.
18. Experience supporting trades, overhauls, outage work, and maintenance activities in an industrial setting.
19. Experience using SAP, computerized maintenance management systems, or digital tools for reporting, work management, and documentation.
20. Ability to operate mobile equipment such as skid steers, loaders, forklifts, and picker trucks.
21. Experience supporting safe work practices including permits, hazard reviews, equipment isolation, and field-level risk assessment.
22. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines in a geographically dispersed area.

37. Participation in on-call rotation, overtime, and emergency support as required.
38. Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is an 8 hour / day
39. Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is a Regular Day Off (RDO)
