Training is provided by Platform One to give an understanding of Consumer Duty and how you can embrace this by meeting our own internal standards, values and behaviours, resulting in an excellent service being delivered to our customers. About the role As a Client Services Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding support across our service suite while contributing to the enhancement of our scalability initiatives, governance frameworks, and control processes. You will work closely with our diverse client base including financial advisers, investment managers, platforms, private banks, and fintech firms. This position reports to the Head of Client Services, Dealing and Settlements and will work closely with our Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure continuous improvement of our service delivery framework. Key Responsibilities Core Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive support across our four core services: Custody, Brokerage & Execution, Leading Technology, and Wrap Pension1. • Conduct regular policy, procedure, and process reviews to ensure service excellence and regulatory compliance. • Contribute to scalability projects that enhance our ability to onboard and service clients efficiently. • Participate in governance framework deep dives to identify improvement opportunities. • Implement control enhancements to strengthen our operational risk management. • Acting to deliver good outcomes for our customers by following the Consumer Duty rules and guidance set by the FCA and our own internal core values and behaviours. Service-Specific Duties • Custody Service: Support secure safekeeping of client assets, assist with reconciliation queries, and help review custody control frameworks1. • Brokerage & Execution: Facilitate trading operations, review execution policies, and contribute to process optimization1. • Leading Technology: Assist clients with platform navigation, contribute to technology scalability initiatives, and help document technical procedures1. • Wrap Pension: Support pension administration, review pension policies, and assist with regulatory documentation processes1. Governance and Process Enhancement • Conduct systematic reviews of existing policies and procedures across all service areas. • Identify gaps in current control frameworks and propose enhancements. • Document process workflows and contribute to standardisation efforts. • Assist with regulatory compliance reviews and implementation of recommended changes. • Support the scaling of operations through process optimisation and automation initiatives. Product Knowledge Requirements • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of our product suite: Retail Trading Platform, Investment Management Platform, Adviser Platform, and Wrap Pension1. • Stay current on market trends affecting financial advisers, investment managers, platforms, private banks, and fintech clients1. • Understand how governance frameworks apply differently across various product offerings. Skills & Qualifications • Knowledge of Consumer Duty FCA principle 12. • 5 years of experience in financial services or wealth management. • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in custody and investment services. • Experience in policy review, process documentation, and control frameworks. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Outstanding communication abilities with clients and internal stakeholders. • Ability to balance client service excellence with governance responsibilities.
